How It Works

A Shared-Responsibility Model

The program is built on a distributed model of shared responsibility: parents contribute cereals, learners provide firewood, and Lishe kwa Ufanisi covers cooks’ salaries - keeping the initiative sustainable and rooted in community ownership.

Every partner school runs its own on-site feeding programme, staffed by two female cooks, serving breaktime porridge to learners every school day.
